Carriage House Restoration Project |
|
THE CHALLENGE
The
Forbes House
Museum is proud to have two
architecturally significant structures,
the Main House and its accompanying Carriage
House/Stable, located on the property
at 215
Adams Street
in Milton, MA. The Main House has been substantially
restored.
However, its accompanying Carriage House/Stable is in
urgent need of restoration
and – without immediate attention – is in danger of
further structural deterioration.
Unless the Museum restores this building, and makes
structural corrections and
grading and
drainage changes to prevent future water damage,
we will surely lose this key part of the Forbes House
forever.
