BarnFest + Ice Bucket Challenge = Cool Summer Fun for a Good Cause

Did you know this year marks the 10-year anniversary of the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness and funds for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease?
It’s a cause important to the Forbes House Museum as our current Executive Director was diagnosed with the disease in 2023. With your participation in FHM’s Ice Bucket Challenge, you can help get the world closer to a future without this terrible disease and spread hope to everyone touched by ALS. What does it mean to form a team?
Teams are groups of friends or colleagues who want to make a bigger impact as a group. Give your team a name and plan matching t-shirts if you want. We’ll promote your team leading up to and after the event, and you can decide who you want to challenge next!
Do I have to form a team?
No, not at all. Individuals can make a big splash too!
Do I really have to get wet?
No, you don’t. You can opt to have confetti dumped on your head instead.
What if I can’t participate but want to make direct donation to the cause?

Do I have to bring my own bucket?
No, we’ll provide the buckets. (Thank you Curry Ace Hardware!)
Do I have to bring anything?
We recommend a dry towel and bank card or cash to purchase drinks/food or additional raffle tickets.
