forbes house museum civic leadership awardee Pat Desmond
As the founder and longtime publisher of the Milton Times, Pat Desmond has played an integral role in the life of this community. Today, true to her legacy, the newspaper keeps its readers informed so that they can be educated, involved citizens. It celebrates the achievements of residents from all walks of life, reminding us why we’re so proud to be part of this diverse community. It gives voice to its residents, a platform to express themselves and engage in civic discourse. And in recognizing the “Best of Milton” each year, the newspaper champions many local businesses and organizations. Moreover, Pat’s past involvement on the Town’s 350th anniversary committee and the Milton Chamber of Commerce illustrates the breadth of her commitment to this community. She’s strengthened Milton through the many bridges she’s built over the years, setting a wonderful example for other business owners and residents.
