Carriage House Restoration Project |
|
THE PROJECT
The Forbes House has carefully laid the groundwork for
the project by conducting a successful architectural
feasibility study, obtaining highly competitive
government grants, and beginning the work of project
fundraising from private foundations. We recognize the
importance of preserving such a rare and significant
architectural structure, and are enthusiastic about our
vision which holds wonderful possibilities for the
future. Ultimately, the Forbes House envisions an
Education Center with exhibit and lecture space. In
addition, the potential new income from rental of the
facility would give the Forbes House a valuable new
revenue source helping to fund daily operating needs and
programs. With continued support from our donors, we aim
to achieve this important goal to restore this beautiful
and historic Carriage House for generations to come.
